The Banks Do Cabo for Thanksgiving 2005!

None of us had been to Cabo, so we looked very much forward to the trip. We stayed at the Riu Palace Cabo. What a beautiful resort! Philip's favorite place was the lobby bar. It occupies the top floor of the lobby building and has an expansive view of the sea.

We ate at the buffet all but one dinner. We ate at the steakhouse on the night of the 21st to celebrate Grandpop's 80th birthday. The food was fairly good, but the service was somewhat disorganized. We had a party of 7, including two children. This kind of threw them for a loop. Most of the time the buffet was really good. The chocolate fountain was a particular hit with our crowd.

Another big hit were the "Strawberry Slushies". You can see Ruthie enjoying one in a picture. I always love the guacamole at the Mexican resorts. It's a very good thing that I don't have access to that much guacamole every day or I would be as big as a house.

All in all it was a great trip. We had a very early return flight on our last day, but that meant that we got home at a decent hour.
